Killswitch Engage, es una banda estadounidense de Metalcore fundada en 1998, procedente de Westfield, Massachusetts, Estados Unidos
Durante el año de 1998, Mike D'Antonio, el bajista fundador, exploraba las escenas hardcore punk y heavy metal de Massachusetts, en busca de gente para formar una nueva banda. Un año después, en 1999, D'Antonio consiguió su propósito al reunirse con dos antiguos guitarras de la banda local Aftershock, Adam Dutkiewicz y Joel Stroetzel. Mientras que éste último permaneció como guitarrista, Adam pasó a la percusión. Posteriormente se les uniría el vocalista Jesse Leach, de la banda Corrin. El origen del nombre del grupo fue propuesto por D'Antonio, al ver un capítulo de Expediente X, titulado "KillSwitch". En 2000 lanzan su primer álbum, de título homónimo a la banda. En 2002 se une el guitarrista Pete Cortese, quien abandonaría al poco tiempo. En ese mismo año salió a la venta su segundo trabajo, Alive or Just Breathing que superó aún más el éxito del predecesor. No obstante, el vocalista Jesse Leach abandonó el grupo poco después por problemas a la hora de compaginar las numerosas giras de la banda con su vida personal, pues se acababa de casar con su novia y coincidían poco tiempo. Leach sería reemplazado por el actual y también vocalista de Blood Has Been Shed, Howard Jones.En 2004 aparece el tercer disco de KSE, titulado The End of Heartache, con más de 250.000 copias vendidas solo en Estados Unidos en el cual el single del mismo nombre está incluido en la banda sonora de la película Resident Evil: Apocalypse, convertido en el tema principal de la misma, hecho que le valió una nominación a la mejor actuación metal de los premios Grammy.
En 2006 se publica el cuarto álbum, As Daylight Dies.

Discografia Completa Lacuna Coil (1998 - 2009)

Biografia:
Lacuna Coil es un grupo de metal/rock formado en Milán, Italia en 1994. Antiguamente fueron conocidos como Sleep of Right y Ethereal. De acuerdo a la banda, esta ha sido influenciada por grupos como Paradise Lost, My Dying Bride, Tiamat, Anathema, Septic Flesh, Black Sabbath, Type O Negative, Imago Mortis, Depeche Mode, In Flames, Amorphis, entre otros.

Lacuna Coil ha participado en los más grandes festivales de metal en todo el mundo, incluyendo Ozzfest, Bloodstock Open Air, Wacken Open Air, y en el Loudpark Festival en Japón.

Actualmente son considerados como una de las bandas de hard rock y metal más influyentes en Italia, así como una de las bandas italianas con mayor éxito en el extranjero. y de las mas influyentes en el metal gótico

Inicios y Ethereal:
El génesis de Lacuna Coil se inicia en Milán en 1994, cuando el guitarrista y compositor Marco Coti Zelati y su amigo, Andrea Ferro, forman la banda Sleep of Right. Coti tocaba la guitarra, Ferro el bajo y Raffaele Zagaria se une como guitarrista y Michelangelo como baterista. La banda tocó su primera presentación en vivo en Bologna, Italia en 1994. Grabaron Bleeding Souls, el cual fue publicado en 1995 en el disco compilatorio Noise of Bolgia.

Coti empieza a tocar el bajo, así Andrea se concentró como vocalista. Se les unió Claudio Leo, como segunda guitarra, y Leonardo Forti como baterista; luego de la partida de Michelangelo. Su siguiente decisión fue incorporar a Cristina Scabbia, amiga de ellos, para que cante algunas canciones. Debido a que Scabbia complementaba muy bien la banda, fue incluida como un miembro permanente.


Luego de la unión de Scabbia como vocalista de la banda, esta cambia su nombre a Ethereal y en mayo de 1996 graban y envían un demo, de dos canciones, Shallow End y Frozen Feeling, a diversas disqueras europeas. La banda recibe respuestas de Nuclear Blast y Century Media; luego deciden sellar el trato con Century Media y descubren que el nombre Ethereal ya había sido tomado por una banda griega. La banda, en aquel entonces formada por Scabbia, Ferro, Coti Zelati, Leo, Zagaria y Forti, decide nombrarse Lacuna Coil, que significa "espiral vació".

Within Temptation Discografia Completa

Within Temptation es un grupo de Metal Sinfónico originario de Holanda.

Fué fundado por Robert Westerholt (Guitarra) y su novia Sharon den Adel (Voz) en el año 1996 en su país natal. Se dieron a conocer fuertemente en el año 1997. Tan sólo dos meses después de su lanzamiento al mundo firmaron un contrato con DSFA Records. En abril del siguiente año, publicaron su primer álbum, "Enter", embarcándose en noviembre en una gira por Alemania y Austria. En el año 1998 publicaron su primer EP, "The Dance".

Permaneciendo inactivos durante todo el año 1999, en diciembre de 2000 publicaron un nuevo disco, "Mother Earth" el cual fue un éxito muy grande dentro de la escena del metal sinfónico, e hizo aumentar en gran cantidad el número de sus fans, lo que le llevó a una serie de exitosas giras con grandes conciertos llenos. Por esta época habían publicado tres singles: "Our Farewell", "Ice Queen" y "Mother Earth".

2002 fue el año de su despegue. El single "Ice Queen" se colocó número uno en las listas de ventas de Holanda y Bélgica. El disco "Mother Earth" llegó a ser platino en Holanda y disco de oro en Bélgica. En ambos países recibieron el premio TMF/MTV Awards. El grupo tocó en grandes festivales en el Benelux (Ozzfest, Lowlands, Dynamo, Rock Werchter, Pukkelpop, Parkpop), así como en Alemania (Rock im Park, Bizarre, Summerbreeze). En Francia, Within Temptation hizo una gira por todas las ciudades importantes (París, Lyon, Lille, Burdeos) vendiendo todas las localidades.

Pero el gran éxito les llegó, sin lugar a dudas, en 2004 con el lanzamiento de su tercer disco (Sin contar el EP The Dance),llamado The Silent Force. En 2005 hicieron una gira por toda Europa.

En marzo de 2007 publican su cuarto disco llamado"The Heart Of Everything", cuyo single promocional es "What Have You Done", un tema que cuenta con la colaboración de Keith Caputo (LIFE OF AGONY) y del que se grabó en diciembre de 2006 en Londres un video-clip para su promoción y otro videoclip para la promoción en Estados Unidos, en el que la participación de Keith Caputo es menor. En los siguientes singles se encuentran "Frozen", "All I Need" y "The Howling", este último, con el que colaboraron para hacer la banda sonora de un videojuego. Sin duda es junto con The Silent Force uno de los álbums de mayor éxito Europeo de toda su carrera discográfica y que por lo que tiene unas tantas reediciones, ediciones limitadas y especiales en diferentes paises. Con este álbum se embarcan hacia el mercado americano y japonés, estrenado fechas de conciertos en estas zonas.

Discografia Completa de Stone Sour, Ex-Banda de Corey Taylor Vocalista de [Slipknot]

Stone Sour es la culminación de diez años de expresión, amistad y determinación. El grupo fue formado en 1992 por el cantante Corey Taylor y el batería Joel Ekman. Poco después, el bajista Shawn Economaki, un viejo amigo de Corey, se unió al grupo. Sin ningún otro deseo que el de escribir buenas canciones, el grupo tocó en una diversidad de locales con varios guitarristas, algunos durando sólo un concierto, hasta que a finales de 1995 encontraron al guitarrista Jim Root al presentarse éste a un ensayo. Ese fue el momento que definió a un grupo al que le encantaba tocar música sin importarles qué estilos, pero manteniendo una base de rock duro bueno, melodías demoledoras y picos emocionales.

Pero en 1997, agotado y buscando algo nuevo a pesar de que fue uno de los fundadores, Corey Taylor abandonó Stone Sour para unirse a Slipknot. Los demás siguieron sus propios caminos. Joel formó una familia mientras que Jim se unió a Slipknot un año después que Corey. Shawn pasó a ser el “stage manager” de Slipknot. El legado que Stone Sour dejó sobre la mesa estaba aún inacabado. La rabia contenida tenía que ser desatada para seguir existiendo.
En 2000, el guitarrista Josh Rand, otro viejo amigo y colaborador de Corey y antiguo alumno de Stone Sour, fue a ver al cantante para enseñarle canciones en las que había estado trabajando él solo. Juntos comenzaron a trabajar durante un año y medio en material nuevo sin ni siquiera saber si iban a formar un grupo. Luego volvieron a juntarse con Joel Ekman y Shawn, y más tarde con Jim. No pudieron luchar contra el destino ni un momento más.

Stone Sour habían vuelto.

Finalmente en el año 2002 la banda saca su primer álbum llamado simplemente "Stone Sour"...un gran debut para esta magnifica banda aqui demuestran toda su calidad, creatividad y estilo único e inigualable. Los temas más representativos son "Get Inside", "Inhale", "Monolith" y su balada "Bother".

En el año 2006 lanzan su segundo álbum, titulado "Come What(Ever) May", el cual ha tenido muy buenas críticas, ya que sigue manteniendo un similar estilo al álbum anterior. Aqui podemos notar dos cambios notorios en los integrantes...lo primero esta relacionado a su imagen y lo segundo es por la salida del baterista Joel Ekman(en su reemplazo llega Roy Mayorga). Las canciones siguen siendo creativas y bien Metaleras, esto demuestra con creces su calidad y talento musical. Los temas más representativos son "Come What(Ever) May", "Hell & Consequences", "30/30-150", y la balada "Through Glass".

Ill Niño es un grupo de Nu Metal de raíces latinoamericanas, los intregantes son de países como Perú Venezuela, Brasil, México, Guatemala y actualmente viven en Nueva Jersey (Estados Unidos).
"La idea de tocar está en ser tan bestial como sea posible pero también en ser lo más melódico posible con un giro latino y con algunos acordes flamencos", dice el bateria de origen peruano Dave Chavarri, que además es líder, fundador y productor.
Tras la publicación de su primer disco, Revolution/Revolución, el guitarrista Marc Rizzo y el percusionista Roger Vasquez abandonan la formación dejando paso a Ahrue Luster y a Danny Couto respectivamente.
El nombre de la banda Ill Niño (Niño Enfermo) anteriormente llamado El Niño en alusión a nuestro fenómeno climático.
El primer disco de la banda Revolution-Revolución la caratula frontal es ilustrada con una imagen de la momia de Paracas.
